Dear all,
New students holding an X1 visa shall apply for a residence permit to the Immigration Department of Qiantang Public Security Sub-Bureau, within 30 days from the date of entry in China. Students with an X2 visa shall secure a visa extension 7 days prior to the expiry of the duration specified in the visa, or apply for a resident permit. Those who exceed the specified time will be punished in accordance with relevant Chinese laws for illegal residence.
Please confirm the expiry date of your visa and come to the SIES two weeks in advance to get your visa proof. Please prepare all related materials, including passport, physical report, etc.
Procedures
Step 1: Prepare all related materials
Passport
Registration Voucher of Residence (Off-Campus students get the form from local police station; on-Campus students don't need to provide)
Physical Report (Including drug examination report)
Admission Letter (Freshmen Only)
JW202/201White sheet (Freshmen Only)
Step 2: Bring the materials mentioned in step1 to the SIES for material review, and after the material audit has been approved, the will issue visa proof (for all students) and JW 201/202 yellow sheet（Freshmen Only).
Step 3：Bring all materials (Mentioned in Step 1 and Step 2) to Immigration Department of Qiantang Public Security Sub-Bureau
to submit materials.
